tomato-K26-1.28.9054MIPSR2-beta-rtn10-Std.trx - file available 30 days.
You can flash your router if you know what you are doing.
I'm using this instructions. You may build your own firmware. |

A question Wild... do you plan on doing the broadcom backport with future tomato usb versions? I'm using 54 right now with much success. |

I'm novice in Linux, but I can try apply patches to new build Tomato USB. If it appears.
But, I think, you can ask Shura1oplot on Tomato USB forum about patches and patching process.
According his post and instructions I build new firmware.
PS: sorry for posting links to another (not dd-wrt) firmware on dd-wrt forum, but dd-wrt does not work correctly with Wi-Fi on my router. |

Even 30/30/30 does not do the trick. Even with WPS button. At powering up only one short flash of all leds, and that's all.
Firmware is tomato.
JTAG needed i guess, but i cant find instructions for this model..

I'm not 100% sure, but maybe shematic of Asus RT-H16 and ASUS RT-N10 are similar?

Asus RT-N10 small desription and photos here.
Look at the last photo on right top board corner, J1 connector looks like JTAG, J2 - like serial.
Building instructions for JTAG cable you can find on this forum. for ex. here

From the sound of it you probably will have to JTAG it because of the frequency setting. But did you attempt to use the restore button and the ASUS Utility? If the bootloader uses default settings for the cpu it would seem feasible. |

I will try ASUS Utility, but there is no hope. The device not respond to ping, and after first short flash of all leds are dead...
And - yes as i said 30/30/30 doesn't do the trick with [restore] or [wps] buttons...

I have an RT-N10 with the latest ASUS firmware (not the new BETA one that will at some point replace it), and was thinking about the DD-WRT firmware to load on it. Mainly because of the following problems:
1. Sporadic delays in accessing the internet. Sometimes unresponsive for a minute or two. Router pingable, although not always.
2. Couldn't connect to the internet, reporting 'CHAP authentication failed: insufficient resources available to authenticate user' - although don't know if this is true, as after about five minutes it worked. Even a reboot of the unit wouldn't fix this.
Any ideas appreciated, because my internet connection of late isn't so good. |

My wireless connection is between two houses of about 20 or 25 metres apart, and signal is more or less the same as what it was previously. Will update over the next few days in how stable it all is. |

There're many diferent versions, the one for the Asus RT-N10 is the 'Kernel 2.6 No Usb MIPSR2 52 build and earlier'
I'm currently using the 52 build and maybe i'm going to test the most recent (54 build).
I placed on this post the link to the firmware that I'm using (Firmware Download).
To install it's very simple.
1- Place the Asus RT-N10 in firmware upgrade mode;
2- Use Asus Firmware Restoration utility to upload the firmware;
3- After the upload is complete open your browser, go to the router by typing 192.168.1.1, when prompted for a username and password enter 'admin' for both. Go to Administration > Configuration > Restore Default Configuration, select 'Erase all data in NVRAM memory (thorough)' and click OK. To insure that the processor has time to complete addressing all NVRAM variables it's best to wait about 5 minutes before making any changes.
4- Voilá!

However, if you read through this thread, someone already had that problem and reset their device properly and tried admin/admin again and it worked. Failing that, ask at tomato.
